Second Stage Round 8: Helsingborg - Trelleborg 65-94

Very significant was Trelleborg's (#4) 29-point road victory against one of their biggest challengers Helsingborg in BEHS forts 94-65. It was a key game for the second position in BEHS forts. The game without a history. Trelleborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Helsingborg's 28. Trelleborg forced 26 Helsingborg turnovers. The winners were led by guard Papy Ndiaye (187-94) who scored that evening 23 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Tadas Kvederavicius (200-90) supported him with 22 points. Trelleborg's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by guard Patrik Andersson (191-94) did not help to save the game for Helsingborg. Point guard Anton Persson (180-97) added 21 points for the hosts. Trelleborg have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in BEHS forts. Helsingborg at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Wetterbygden. Trelleborg will play against Brahe Basket (#9) in Huskvarna in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Helsingborg will have a break next round.
