The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (15-6) in Kiryat Gat on Monday night. Visitors were rolled over by twelfth ranked Maccabi K/G (7-14) 101-78. The game without a history. Maccabi K/G led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Maccabi K/G looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). His fellow American import point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American-Bulgarian point guard Earl Rowland (188-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) answered with 18 points and 5 assists and American Tony Gaffney (204-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Inception Sports) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Jerusalem. Five Maccabi K/G and four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Maccabi K/G moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Hapoel Holon and Ironi Nes-Ziona. Defending champion Hapoel Jerusalem still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Maccabi T-A. Maccabi K/G is looking forward to face Hapoel Holon (#10) on the road in the next round. Hapoel Jerusalem will have a break next round.
