Regular Season Round 27: Guantanamo - Capitalinos 64-62

The most exciting game of round 27 in the LSB took place in Guantanamo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Capitalinos (15-7) to fourth ranked Guantanamo (13-11) 64-62 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Capitalinos. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Yoannis Soria (195-86) who scored 27 points. Swingman Elvis Pons (194-83) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Arlen Alorda (198-86) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and Neysser Coutin (-96) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Guantanamo maintains fourth place with 13-11 record. Defending champion Capitalinos keep the second position with seven games lost. Guantanamo are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Capitalinos in La Habana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Capitalinos will have a break next round.
