Regular Season Round 20: Lucca - Venezia 69-59

An interesting game for Lucca (20-1) which hosted in Lucca 4th ranked Venezia (16-5). First ranked Lucca managed to get a 10-point victory 69-59. The game was mostly controlled by Lucca. Venezia managed to win third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lucca forced 19 Venezia turnovers. The winners were led by American-New Zealand guard Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford, agency: Players Group) who scored that evening 24 points and 6 rebounds and international swingman Martina Crippa (178-89, agency: Players Group) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) by American swingman Karima Christmas (182-89, college: Duke) did not help to save the game for Venezia. Slovakian center Marie Ruzickova (189-86, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Lucca have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-1 record. Loser Venezia keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Lucca will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Venezia will play against San Giovanni (#12) and hope to secure a win.
