Regular Season Round 28: Guantanamo - Capitalinos 72-73

The most exciting game of round 28 in the LSB took place in Guantanamo. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 4th ranked Guantanamo (13-12) to second ranked Capitalinos (16-7) 73-72 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Guantanamo. 24 personal fouls committed by Guantanamo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Arlen Alorda (198-86) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Allen Jemmott (194-80) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Guard Raudelis Guerra (191-93) replied with 23 points and the former international swingman Yoannis Soria (195-86) added 20 points in the effort for Guantanamo. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains second position with 16-7 record having 2 victories less than leader Villa Clara. Guantanamo at the other side keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost.
