Regular Season Round 21: Gipuzkoa UPV - CREF Hola 61-63

A very interesting game took place in San Sebastian. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 10th ranked Gipuzkoa UPV (8-13) to eleventh ranked CREF Hola (8-13) 63-61 in the fight for the tenth place. Gipuzkoa UPV was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 17-11 charge of CREF Hola, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Lyndra Weaver (185-87, college: Virginia) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian guard Nina Bogicevic (181-89) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Cierra Bravard (193-89, college: Florida St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Oumoul Sarr (185-84) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively. CREF Hola moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Gipuzkoa UPV. CREF Hola's next round opponent will be higher ranked Cadi La Seu (#5) in Seu D'urgell and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
