Regular Season Round 18: Landes - Nantes 73-60

Everything went according to plan in Mont de Marsan where fifth ranked Basket Landes (12-7) beat 10th ranked Nantes Reze (6-12) 73-60. It was a good game for American-Dominican Carmen Guzman (172-85, college: UAB, agency: Merit Management Group) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Croatian center Iva Sliskovic (190-84, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Basket Landes' coach Olivier Lafargue used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Nantes Reze. Four Nantes Reze players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Basket Landes went down to sixth position due to points difference. Nantes Reze lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 12 games lost. Basket Landes' next round opponent will be Hainaut (#9) in Saint-Amand. Nantes Reze will play at home against Angers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
