Second Stage Round 4: Teodo Tivat - Bashkimi 76-82

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Montenegrin Teodo Tivat (3-1) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Kosovan Bashkimi (1-3) 82-76. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Teodo Tivat. Teodo Tivat was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 28-16 charge of Bashkimi, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Teodo Tivat turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tre Bussey (190-91, college: Georgia South) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Bashkimi players scored in double figures. American Manuel Johnson (203-83, college: Tex.A&M-Comm.) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Aaron Mitchell (188-89, college: Longwood) added 9 points and 8 assists in the effort for Teodo Tivat. Teodo Tivat's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bashkimi maintains fourth position in Group C with 1-3 record. Teodo Tivat at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Bashkimi are looking forward to face league's second-placed Mornar Bar at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Teodo Tivat will play against Beroe in Stara Zagora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
