The game in was also quite interesting. Third ranked Dacin Tigers (16-10) played at the court of 6th ranked Fubon Braves (9-17). Dacin Tigers managed to secure a 5-point victory 89-84 on Thursday. Dacin Tigers started the game with a very strong first quarter 32-21. But Fubon Braves won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dacin Tigers made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Guard Yi-Xiang Zhou (191-91) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and American-New Zealand center Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Dacin Tigers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) responded with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) and the former international forward Hsiao-Jung Chen (197-90) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dacin Tigers maintains third position with 16-10 record having just two points less than leader Pure Youth. Fubon Braves lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the sixth place with 17 games lost. Dacin Tigers will meet Bank of Taiwan (#5) in the next round. Fubon Braves will play against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
