Regular Season Round 24: Forca Lleida - Caceres 77-60
Date: March 4, 2016
Bottom-ranked Lleida Basquet managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the five-game losing streak on Friday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Caceres Basket 77-60. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference proves that Lleida Basquet was well-prepared to that game. The game without a history. Lleida Basquet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by American-Saint Lucian forward Khyle Marshall (198-92, college: Butler, agency: Duran International) who scored that evening 17 points and 7 rebounds and Dominican-American forward Emmy Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) supported him with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) did not help to save the game for Caceres Basket. Center Victor Serrano (211-89) added 9 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lleida Basquet (7-17) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Prat. Newly promoted Caceres Basket dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Lleida Basquet will meet higher ranked FC Barcelona II (#7) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Caceres Basket will play against the league's leader Palencia Baloncesto where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
