Regular Season Round 22: ASVEL - Orleans 79-57

Date: March 4, 2016
No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (14-8) outleveled at home 12th ranked Entente Orleans 45 (9-13) 79-57 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. Entente Orleans 45 managed to win fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Entente Orleans 45 36-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. American guard Trenton Meacham (190-85, college: Illinois) fired 13 points for the winners. Australian center David Andersen (213-80) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. American Chevon Troutman (202-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Beo Basket) produced 16 points and 4 steals and naturalized Senegalese forward Antoine Mendy (198-83) added 11 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Entente Orleans 45 keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Cholet and Chalons-Reims. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will meet at home league's second-placed Chalon/Saor in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Entente Orleans 45 will play against STB Le Havre (#18) and hope to secure a win.
