Regular Season Round 25: Norrkoping - Sundsvall 92-89

Sixth-ranked Sundsvall Dragons (15-15) made lots of trouble for third ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (20-9) on Friday. Norrkoping Dolphins managed to secure only three-point victory 92-89. However their fans expected easier game. Sundsvall Dragons were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The former international Mikael Lindquist (193-83) stepped up and scored 29 points for the winners and American center Josh Hairston (203-92, college: Duke) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). At the losing side the former international point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) responded with 31 points and 4 assists and American guard Ray Willis (198-89, college: N.C.Central) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins maintains third place with 20-9 record having six points less than leader Sodertalje. Sundsvall Dragons lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will meet KFUM Jamtland (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sundsvall Dragons will play against Nassjo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
