There was a minor upset in Barcelona where 8th ranked Picken Claret (10-11) was defeated by eleventh ranked Segle XXI (6-15) 65-54 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 65-54. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Segle XXI made 7 blocks. Forward Paula Ginzo (187-98) stepped up and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Maria Barneda (177-98) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Laura Navarro (170-84) with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center Carla Diaz Polo (185-90) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds.
