Sixth ranked Byblos (6-6) crushed at home 7th ranked Sagesse (4-8) by 20 points 83-63, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Byblos. Sagesse was better in fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of international Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Bassel Bawji (203-89, college: Tulsa) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Ukrainian center Oleksiy Pecherov (213-85) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Bosnian-Serbian center Ratko Varda (212-79, agency: Beo Basket) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Sagesse. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Byblos maintains sixth place with 6-6 record. Sagesse lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Byblos will have a break next round. Sagesse will play against Louaize (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
