Very important is a road loss of second ranked Pielagos (13-4) against eighth ranked Clavijo (8-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Pielagos was defeated by Clavijo in Logrono 81-64. The game without a history. Clavijo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Clavijo outrebounded Pielagos 44-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Enrique Suarez (192-83) who scored 22 points. Point guard Brais Gago (180-96) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Four Clavijo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese center Abdoulaye Seck (205-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Miguel Molina (197-89) added 14 points respectively. Pielagos' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Clavijo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A. Loser Pielagos keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Estela and Ardoi. Clavijo will meet higher ranked Easo (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pielagos will play against Burgos and hope to secure a win.
