Date: March 5, 2016
LF2 top team - Tarbes (17-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Avenir (8-10) 62-40. The game without a history. Tarbes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Avenir to just 6 points in second and fourth quarters. Tarbes forced 24 Avenir turnovers. The former international center Elodie Bertal (191-84) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson, agency: Regeneracom Sports) chipped in 17 points during the contest. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tarbes have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Avenir at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Tarbes will play against Reims (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Avenir will play against LTB 29 and hopes to get back on the winning track.
