Date: March 5, 2016
The most important game in the last round took place in Aanekoski between second ranked ViVe (15-6) and sixth ranked Aanekosken (8-13) on Saturday night. ViVe was defeated by Aanekosken in a tough game on the road 82-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ViVe. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-17. But ViVe won third quarter 22-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aanekosken forced 20 ViVe turnovers. Strangely ViVe outrebounded Aanekosken 43-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Jazmine Perkins (178, college: Washington St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Forward Sequoia Holmes (183-86, college: UNLV, agency: Merit Management Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Aanekosken players scored in double figures. Guard Crystal Bradford (183-93, college: Cent.Michigan) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and forward Alexyz Vaioletama (185-93, college: USC) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for ViVe. Aanekosken are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Pyrinto (#9) in Tampere in the next round. ViVe will play at home against Peli-Karhut (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
