Regular Season Round 22: Chalon - Nancy 92-83

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Chalon/Saor (15-7) beat at home 13th ranked Sluc Nancy (8-14) 92-83 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 52-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Chalon/Saor made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) fired 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import center Devin Booker (203-91, college: Clemson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: Beo Basket) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Steed Tchicamboud (193-81, agency: Comsport) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Le Mans and Monaco. Loser Sluc Nancy dropped to the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Chalon/Saor will meet ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#6) on the road in the next round. Sluc Nancy will play against Olympique Antibes (#10) and hope to secure a win.
