Worth to mention about the upset in a game between SIG (9-9) and Dunkerque (7-11), which took place in llkirch-Graff.. 6th ranked SIG lost at home to ninth ranked Dunkerque 58-62. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SIG won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Dace Pierre-Joseph (187-81) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Canadian guard Korissa Williams (175-92) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and Louise Dambach (175-96) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Dunkerque's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Roche in La Roche and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SIG will play on the road against Charnay in Charnay-les-Macon and hope to win that game.
