Regular Season Round 21: Vigren - Agustinos-Eras 71-83

Rather expected game in Zamora where 4th placed Vigren (10-5) was defeated by first ranked Agustinos-Eras (14-2) 83-71 on Sunday. The game without a history. Agustinos-Eras led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Agustinos-Eras forced 19 Vigren turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Dionte Ferguson (198-92, college: S.Alabama) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners and center Kevin Rima (204-92, college: NW Nazarene) chipped in 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Michael Balkovic (198-93, college: Caldwell, agency: Dynamics Global Management) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Reed Mells (180-93, college: Truman St.) scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Vigren players scored in double figures. Vigren's coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Agustinos-Eras maintains first place in Group A-B with 14-2 record. Loser Vigren keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Agustinos-Eras will face Gijon (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vigren will play against Mieres BVM (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
