10th ranked Zornotza (8-13) was outscored at home by fourth ranked Sammic ISB (14-7) with the biggest margin this round 86-55 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Sammic ISB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sammic ISB forced 20 Zornotza turnovers. Zornotza was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. French-American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Ruben Gutierrez (192-95) chipped in 15 points. The best for the losing side was point guard Iker Salazar (192-93) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and German center Enosch Wolf (216-90, college: Connecticut) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sammic ISB moved-up to third place, which they share with Avila. Loser Zornotza dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Sammic ISB will face Clinicas Rincon (#9) in Malaga in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zornotza will play on the road against CB Tarragona 2017 and hope to win that game.
