Regular Season Round 27: Pyrinto II - Oulun NMKY 80-94

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Oulun NMKY (7-18) beat 7th ranked Pyrinto II (7-19) in Tampere 94-80 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Oulun NMKY. Pyrinto II was better in fourth quarter 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pyrinto II was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Trevante Drye (200-93, college: Tulane) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Vesa Heinonen (194-91) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Justus Kilpinen (192-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Lassi Kilpinen (185-93) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pyrinto II. Five Oulun NMKY and four Pyrinto II players scored in double figures. Pyrinto II's coach Tero Vasell rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oulun NMKY moved-up to seventh place in Division. Pyrinto II at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 19 games lost. Oulun NMKY will face league's second-placed Forssan Koripojat at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pyrinto II will play against HBA-Marsky (#5) in Helsinki and hope to win that game.
