Regular Season Round 44: Kanazawa Samuraiz - Bambitious Nara 78-77

Eighth-ranked Bambitious Nara (15-25) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (22-18) in Ishikawa. Kanazawa Samuraiz managed to secure only one-point victory 78-77. However their fans expected easier game. Bambitious Nara cut a 16-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. The winners were led by American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who scored that evening 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Yuji Yuji (181-88) supported him with 19 points. Even 26 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Charles Hinkle (196-88, college: American) did not help to save the game for Bambitious Nara. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (208-82, college: Colorado) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. Kanazawa Samuraiz maintains seventh position with 22-18 record. Bambitious Nara at the other side keeps the eighth place with 25 games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz will play against higher ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (#6) in Mikawa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bambitious Nara will play at home against Okinawa GK and hopes to get back on the winning track.
