Very expected game in Avellino where 11th ranked AV Cantu (9-13) was defeated by fourth ranked Scandone AV (14-8) 81-77 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. AV Cantu trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 29-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-81 at the end of the game. American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) fired 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward James Nunnally (201-90, college: UCSB) chipped in 15 points.
