Second Stage Round 5: Arantia - Heffingen 107-69

Date: March 6, 2016
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Arantia as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Arantia smashed second-ranked Heffingen in Larochette 107-69. The game without a history. Arantia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Arantia outrebounded Heffingen 48-28 including 19 on the offensive glass. American guard Aaron Harrison (198-93, college: Lynn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). His fellow American import power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Four Arantia players scored in double figures. American forward Brad Reese (199-88, college: Texas Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and forward Daniel Colbach (188-97) added 7 points in the effort for Heffingen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Heffingen at the other side dropped to the third place with 17 games lost. Heffingen will play next round against strong Bascharage trying to get back on the winning streak. Arantia will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Residence at Bereldange.
