Finals Game 1: Dnipro - Budivelnyk 70-51

Dnipro eased to the opening victory in the Superleague Finals. They stormed past Budivelnyk at home court. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-51. Dnipro dominated on the defensive end, holding Budivelnyk to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Budivelnyk's 18. Dnipro looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and center Vladislav Korenyuk (210-94) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Dnipro players scored in double figures. Dnipro's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Vitaliy Zotov (186-97, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 11 points and 6 assists and forward Vladyslav Kondratyev (203-90, college: Bryant) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds.
