Regular Season Round 20: Ullern - Ytrebygda 54-33

Kvinneligaen top team - Ullern (16-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Ytrebygda (3-15) in Oslo 54-33. Ytrebygda was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Ullern dominated on the defensive end, holding Ytrebygda to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Ytrebygda's 18. Ullern forced 25 Ytrebygda turnovers and outrebounded them 54-29 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international guard Tina Moen (180-86, college: IPFW) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The former international power forward Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Rikke Sjumarken (180-98) replied with 11 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Solveig Mildestvedt (165-98) added 8 points in the effort for Ytrebygda. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ullern have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-2 record. Newly promoted Ytrebygda keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost.
