Second Stage Round 9: Brahe Basket - Koping 78-101

Very predictable result in Huskvarna where first ranked Koping (15-3) outscored 9th ranked Brahe Basket (1-16) 101-78 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 101-78. Koping forced 23 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 48-25 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brahe Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Robertino Duric (192-92) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Center Mikael Axelsson (207-94) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Vahe Gazigian who recorded 21 points and 5 steals and Karl Ble Cato (-94) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Koping maintains first place in BEHS forts with 15-3 record. Brahe Basket lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Koping will have a break next round. Brahe Basket will play again on the road against the league's leader Koping (#1) and hope to win that game.
