Regular Season Round 22: Monaco - Strasbourg 70-76

Date: March 7, 2016
The most interesting game of round 22 in the ProA was a home defeat of their biggest opponent Monaco (15-7) to first ranked Strasbourg IG (16-6) 76-70 in the game for the first place. It ended the two-game winning streak of Monaco. It was a key game for the top position in the league. American guard Mardy Collins (198-84, college: Temple) scored 18 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. Strasbourg IG's coach Vincent Collet used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American Jamal Shuler (191-86) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Ghanian Billy Ouattara (191-92) scored 17 points. Strasbourg IG have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-6 record. Newly promoted Monaco keeps the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Le Mans and Chalon. Strasbourg IG are looking forward to face SPO Rouen (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Monaco will play against Paris-Levallois (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
