There was no surprise in Wroclaw where 14th ranked Slask (5-19) was defeated by fourth ranked Anwil (18-5) 86-69 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. Slask managed to win fourth quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international swingman Bartosz Diduszko (198-87) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Haitian center Kervin Bristol (206-88, college: Fordham) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. At the losing side Michal Jankowski (191-87) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) scored 12 points. Slask's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Anwil have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Slask dropped to the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Trefl Sopot. Anwil will meet Polpharma (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Slask will play against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. and hope to secure a win.
