There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked VL Pesaro (9-14) defeated at home higher ranked Dolomiti En. TR (11-12) 79-72 on Wednesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. VL Pesaro made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Dolomiti En. TR turnovers. American forward Austin Daye (211-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Alti Sport) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import guard Trevor Lacey (190-91, college: N.Carolina St.) contributed with 23 points and 5 steals for the winners. Four VL Pesaro players scored in double figures. VL Pesaro's coach Riccardo Paolini used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. International forward Davide Pascolo (201-90) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian point guard Andres Forray (187-86) added 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Dolomiti En. TR. VL Pesaro moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Dolomiti En. TR lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost.
