Very significant was FYR Macedonian Kozuv's (#3, 2-3) victory against second-ranked Kosovan Peja (2-3) 72-67. Peja was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 41-31 second half run of Kozuv. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Peja to just 7 points in third quarter. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Kozuv forced 19 Peja turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Peja helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Vladimir Brckov (200-89, agency: Beo Basket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: HMS) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and American point guard Kevin Burwell (179-89, college: Miss.Valley St.) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Peja. Peja's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kozuv moved-up to second place in Group D, which they share with defeated Peja. Kozuv's next round opponent will be Levski 2014 (#4) in Sofia. Peja will play at home against the league's leader Sigal Prishtina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
