Regular Season Round 26: Macae - Brasilia 77-99

Date: March 9, 2016
There was no surprise when 15th ranked Macae (5-19) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Brasilia (16-8) 99-77 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Brasilia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was international Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Lucas Cipolini (206-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 20 points. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Brasilia's coach Jose Carlos Vidal felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Marcio Dornelles (196-75) produced 29 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Anderson Mosso (205-82, college: Chipola JC) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 16-8 record. Macae lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. Brasilia will face league's leader Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Macae will play at home against Minas (#10) and hope to win that game.
