Regular Season Round 24: Fubon Braves - KKL 80-78

Seventh-ranked KKL (4-25) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Fubon Braves (12-17). Fubon Braves managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected easier game. KKL was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 18-13 third quarter run of Fubon Braves. The winners were led by American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) who scored that evening 25 points and 7 rebounds and guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 44 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds by American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) did not help to save the game for KKL. Guard Chi-Kuan Cheng (188-94) added 8 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. KKL lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. Fubon Braves will play against league's leader Pure Youth in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KKL will play against Bank of Taiwan (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
