First defeat of Central District Lions (0-1) against Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (1-0) 107-63 was the most important game of the last round. The game without a history. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers forced 21 Central District Lions turnovers and outrebounded them 51-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Central District Lions' players. 29 personal fouls committed by Central District Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Mitch Creek (195-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Samuel Johns (193-95) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Noarlunga City Southern Tigers players scored in double figures. Swingman Christopher Clausen (198-87, college: N.Dakota) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and center Daniel Carlin (206-93, college: Westmont) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Central District Lions. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Central District Lions will play next round against Sturt Sabres trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against Norwood Flames in Marden.
