Regular Season Round 32: KTP Basket - Helsinki Seagulls 76-80

Rather expected game when 9th ranked KTP-Basket (11-21) lost to sixth ranked Helsinki Seagulls (15-17) in Kotka 76-80. It looked good early as KTP-Basket took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Helsinki Seagulls had a 26-14 second period charge getting the lead and KTP-Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-80. Helsinki Seagulls forced 20 KTP-Basket turnovers. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was forward Terrence Watson (200-87, college: Ball St., agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Guard James Sinclair (190-93, college: W.Carolina) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Devonne Giles (203-83, college: Texas Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Lamarcus Reed (196-88, college: Texas Arlington) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. Helsinki Seagulls maintains sixth position with 15-17 record. KTP-Basket at the other side keeps the ninth place with 21 games lost. Helsinki Seagulls' next round opponent will be Salon Vilpas (#7) at home. KTP-Basket will play against Loimaan Korikonkarit and hope to win that game.
