Regular Season Round 18: Lyon - Arras 76-62
Date: March 11, 2016
Very predictable result when eighth ranked Lyon (9-9) defeated at home bottom-ranked Arras (2-16) 76-62. The game was mostly controlled by Lyon. Arras was better in fourth quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Lauren Ervin (191-85, college: Arkansas) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The former international center Christelle Diallo (192-93) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Brooque Williams (175-89, college: California, PA) replied with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian forward Stephany Skrba (188-87, college: Michigan) added 12 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Arras. Lyon moved-up to seventh place. Arras lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Lyon's next round opponent will be league's leader Lattes Montpellier on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arras will play against Toulouse (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
