There was a small surprise when tenth ranked San Miniato (13-12) won against on the road 7th ranked Santarcangelo (15-10) 76-64 on Saturday. San Miniato forced 19 Santarcangelo turnovers. Guard Francesco Stefanelli (190-95) fired 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Roberto Bertolini (198-86) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four San Miniato players scored in double figures. Point guard Luca Pesaresi (180-89) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Francesco Bedetti (195-93, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. San Miniato moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Monsummano. Santarcangelo lost their third game in a row. Santarcangelo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost.
