No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked CB Tarragona 2017 (12-10) defeated at home 11th ranked Zornotza (8-14) 82-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by CB Tarragona 2017. Zornotza managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CB Tarragona 2017 dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Zornotza's 28. American forward Orion Outerbridge (206-88, college: Rhode Island) scored 28 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Ferran Torres (201-88) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. CB Tarragona 2017's coach Bernardo Alvarez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Ander Garcia (194-89) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CB Tarragona 2017 have a solid three-game winning streak. CB Tarragona 2017 moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Lucentum and Moron. Loser Zornotza keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Cambados. CB Tarragona 2017 will meet bottom-ranked Getafe (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zornotza will play against Clinicas Rincon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
