Regular Season Round 25: Sallen - Visby 71-52

Very expected game in Uppsala where 8th ranked Visby Ladies (8-17) were crushed by third ranked Sallen (19-6) 71-52. The game was mostly controlled by Sallen. Visby Ladies was better in third quarter 13-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) nailed 16 points for the winning side and the former international Kadidja Andersson (183-80, college: Minnesota) accounted for 10 points and 6 assists. Five Sallen players scored in double figures. Sallen's coach Johan Persson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Patricia Oaks (193-89, college: Colgate) came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Samarie Walker (185-92, college: Kentucky) added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Visby Ladies in the defeat. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Sallen. They maintain third place with 19-6 record having just two points less than leader Lulea Basket. Visby Ladies at the other side keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. Sallen will play against Alvik Basket (#5) in Stockholm in the next round. Visby Ladies will play on the road against Telge and hope to get back on the winning track.
