Regular Season Round 20: GKK Sibenik - Jolly JBS 70-83

An interesting game took place in Sibenik where higher ranked GKK Sibenik (10-8) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked Jolly (8-11) 83-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Jolly. GKK Sibenik was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Jolly outrebounded GKK Sibenik 38-23 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. GKK Sibenik was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and naturalized Bosnian power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) who added 20 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Jolly players scored in double figures. Forward Ivan Blace (201-84) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Roko Badzim (197-97, agency: XL Basketball Agency) scored 19 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). GKK Sibenik's coach Jeronimo Sarin rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jolly moved-up to eighth place. GKK Sibenik lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Jolly will face bottom-ranked Ribola Kastela (#11) in Kastela Sucurac in the next round. GKK Sibenik will play on the road against KK Zabok (#9) in Zabok and hope to win that game.
