Korisliiga top team - Joensuun Kataja (26-7) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked BC Nokia (12-20) 82-78. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 30-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Joensuun Kataja made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American swingman Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Three Eye Sports) who scored that evening 24 points and the other American import Lamayn Wilson (203-80, college: Troy) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Joensuun Kataja players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds by American forward David Kravish (208-92, college: California) did not help to save the game for BC Nokia. Serbian power forward Dragan Labovic (207-87) added 16 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Joensuun Kataja have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 26-7 record. Newly promoted BC Nokia keeps the eighth place with 20 games lost.
