An interesting game took place in Madrid, where higher ranked Leganes (14-8) lost to twelfth ranked Olimpico 64 (6-16) in a road game 67-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpico 64. Leganes was better in fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Leganes to just 7 points in third quarter. Beatriz Parada (179-86) fired 15 points for the winners. Point guard Esther Molinero (165-93) chipped in 16 points. Dominican guard Yohanna Morton (172-87, college: Robert Morris) produced 14 points and 4 assists and guard Alba Maria Garcia (175-90) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Olimpico 64 moved-up to eleventh place in Group B, which they share with Segle XXI. Loser Leganes keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Olimpico 64 will face league's leader Alcobendas on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Leganes will play against Picken Claret and hope to win that game.
