Regular Season Round 15: Champville - Tadamon 84-79

Bottom-ranked Champville managed to get a third victory on Saturday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Tadamon in Dik El Mehdi 84-79. Tadamon was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was an exceptional evening for Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Brandon Thomas (198-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Three Eye Sports) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Serbian swingman Branko Cvetkovic (200-84) came up with 23 points and 5 rebounds and Jamaican-American guard Corey Williams (191-77, college: Alabama St.) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Tadamon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Champville (3-10) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Louaize. Loser Tadamon keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Champville will meet league's leader Al Riyadi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tadamon will play against Byblos (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
