Twelfth-ranked Chalons-Reims (9-14) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked JDA Dijon (14-9). The visitors from JDA Dijon managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chalons-Reims. The guests were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 23-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. JDA Dijon forced 21 Chalons-Reims turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American guard C.J. Williams (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) who led the winners and scored 19 points. Naturalized Chadian forward Jacques Alingue (201-88) accounted for 10 points and 4 steals for the winning side. American swingman Alex Young (198-89, college: IUPUI) came up with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Patrick Richard (196-90, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Chalons-Reims in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for JDA Dijon. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gravelines. Chalons-Reims at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. JDA Dijon's next round opponent will be Gravelines-Dunkerque (#8) at home. Chalons-Reims will play against Le Mans (#5) and hope to win that game.
