The game in Gomel was also quite interesting. 7th ranked BGEU-RCOR (5-17) played at the court of eighth ranked GOCOR-Sozh (3-19). GOCOR-Sozh defeated BGEU-RCOR 74-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by GOCOR-Sozh. BGEU-RCOR was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GOCOR-Sozh forced 26 BGEU-RCOR turnovers. Power forward Aleksandr Kopacev (203-95) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Tsimafei Viaroukin (187-93) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. GOCOR-Sozh's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Dmitriy Roslikau (183-95) produced 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Aleksandr Filipovich (187-98) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. GOCOR-Sozh maintains eighth place with 3-19 record. BGEU-RCOR lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 17 games lost. GOCOR-Sozh will face higher ranked Vitebsk (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
