Crusaders used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Condell Park 82-76 on Saturday night. Crusaders made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Forward Callum Jenkins orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Steve Mackay contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) replied with 30 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and naturalized Croatian forward Alexandar Opacic (208-86, college: Furman, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 21 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Bankstown Bruins. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Crusaders will have a break next round. Bankstown Bruins will play against Hills Hornets (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
