Regular Season Round 3: Obregon - Los Mochis 105-90

The most surprising game was a loss of Pioneros Los Mochis (1-1) on the court of Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon 105-90. The game was mostly controlled by Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon. Pioneros Los Mochis managed to win fourth quarter 29-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon shot the lights out from three sinking 32 long-distance shots on high 56.1 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Malcolm Canada (191, college: Auburn) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Forward Landon Atterberry (198, college: LIU Brooklyn) helped adding 37 points (!!!). The best for the losing side was guard Chez Marks (191-80, college: Morehead St.) with 17 points and guard Cameron Mitchell (193, college: IU Southeast) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Pioneros Los Mochis players scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon is looking forward to face Rayos de Hermosillo on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pioneros Los Mochis will play against Garra Canera de Navolato and are hoping to win this game.
