Regular Season Round 24: Rapla - TU/Rock 83-62

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked TU/Rock (16-6) on the court of fourth ranked Rapla on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Rapla 83-62. The game without a history. Rapla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TU/Rock to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Dutch center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) who added 6 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Rapla players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Brian Harper (206-85, college: Paine, agency: HMS) with 9 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Tanel Sokk (182-85) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rapla (15-9) moved-up to third place. Defending champion TU/Rock still keeps top position with six games lost. Rapla are looking forward to face TTU (#8) in Tallinn in the next round where they are favorite. TU/Rock will have a break next round.
