Regular Season Round 45: Sendai 89ers - Saitama Bron. 90-62

Leader Sendai 89ers recorded the twenty eighth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (4-35) 90-62. The game without a history. Sendai 89ers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 34. Sendai 89ers forced 23 Saitama Broncos turnovers. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Terrance Shannon (203-90, college: VCU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Sendai 89ers' coach Shuto Kawachi felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sendai 89ers. They maintain first place with 28-13 record, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Saitama Broncos lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 35 games lost. Sendai 89ers will face again Saitama Broncos (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
